- Tell the doctor if a person develops side effects from the medicine, such as dizziness, palpitations, chest pain, or rapid pulse. Let the doctor know about any changes in pulse rate after giving a nebulized medicine.
- If the person cannot self-administer a nebulized medicine and you are not always available to assist, ask the doctor if a different form of medicine is an option.
- Let the doctor know if the patient has repeated episodes of coughing or rapid or irregular heart rate during a nebulizer treatment.
